An autumn wedding in Tuscany

This season remembers me of an autumn wedding in Tuscany that I organised with magnificent colours in a typical Tuscan villa between the stunning countryside of Tuscany’s Crete Senesi and Orcia Valley last year. 

Valerie and Gregor were really a wonderful and funny couple, full in harmony, that I got to know better during the research of the adequate location through the whole Tuscan region where we found the perfect location for their needs: 

Villa Boscarello  

It’s a fabulous Villa with panoramic view on the Crete Senesi countryside and situated inside the vineyards and olive groves of the estate. This villa really is a perfect choice for those who are looking for a typical Tuscan style that should characterise the wedding. Moreover, it’s perfect for an intimate wedding as the couple can stay there for some nights to share the experience with their intimate friends and parents. And, of course, they can also enjoy the delicious specialities that the owner and chef Carlotta prepars every day for their guests, as well as during the wedding reception. 

The autumn 

Of course it’s not an easy decision to choose autumn as season for your own wedding and you need to consider a plan B just in case of bad weather conditions - which we needed for this wedding too. But on the other hand this season gives you a lot of possibilities to personalize your decorations with seasonal and colourful autumn flowers as well as typical seasonal products like grapes, olive branches, pomegranate or the Tuscan fruit “Corbezolo”, as we did together with the great collaboration of the florists of Agriflor. 

The program 

The autumn and Tuscany as theme characterized the whole day of Valerie & Gregors wedding. 

We organized the ceremony on the meadow in front of the villa with a view on the vineyards and of course we couldn’t miss to have also the wine box-rite that proposed the celebrant Kathrin from Tuscanpledges. After the ceremony Valerie and Gregor accompanied their guests to the pool zone where they enjoyed a delicious aperitif with panoramic view on the countryside – a perfect moment for the congratulations and some fun with their guests. During these special moments their guests enjoyed a typical Italian toast paired with some specialities of the Tuscan tradition, while Valerie and Gregor drove together with the photograph Diego through the stunning countryside of the Crete Senesi, to shoot some photos of them alone. 

After their return we organised the dinner inside the Villa, when it began to rain. Fortunately, Villa Boscarello has a beautiful big salon with a wonderful fireplace where we already prepared the decoration with the autumn theme as well as candles everywhere. Thanks to this warm atmosphere and to the delicious dinner and wine of the family Pometti the guests and the spouses felt suddenly warmly welcomed. It seemed like the weather also became impressed by the warm-hearted atmosphere, so it stopped raining and they enjoyed the rest of this cozy evening outside: in fact we organized the cake-cutting of their funny Lego-Cake, as well as the dance and open bar under the covered terrace: Just perfect to finish of this wonderful evening with their family and friends. 

As you can see, you cannot surely forcast the weather conditions for an autumn wedding in Tuscany, but I think Valerie and Gregor made a good choice to choose this season for their special day, because theycelebrated it without the hot summer heat and they decorated the party and reception with the typical autumn colours and products of Tuscany. Moreover their guests discovered some villages of Tuscany without the mass of tourists that you can expect in the summer period. Not to forget is the possibility to have special prices for the location as you are out of high-season, so this is a point that a couple should consider during the wedding planning. So, there are a lot of vantages for a wedding in this season, isn’t it? 

I often think of Valerie and Gregor and on their wonderful autumn wedding in Tuscany and I wish them a wonderful and lovely first anniversary!
